Mugwort: a slight lift, and one lucid dream after a gap night

lucidity

Fourteen nights of mugwort tea, 2 grams steeped and taken on an empty stomach one to two hours before bed. Mugwort is a long-standing oneirogen and contains thujone, the same compound found in absinthe. No journaling or technique here, just the chemistry on its own.

The steady-state result was modest: a slight increase in dream vividness, and sleep that ran a little better than baseline.

The one notable night came with a caveat. After missing a dose, I took it again immediately before bed and had the third lucid dream of my life. The catch is that the missed night and the changed timing are both confounds, and isolating the chemical is the whole point of the series. So I am filing the lucid dream as suggestive rather than attributable, and the timing question is worth a cleaner test.

Not medical advice. Nightcone documents self-experimentation for research interest only. Nothing here is a recommendation to ingest any substance.
