Mexican dream herb: vivid dreams, and a lucid one on day 19

lucidity

Nineteen nights on Calea zacatechichi, the Mexican dream herb used for centuries around Oaxaca to sharpen recall and, traditionally, to ask dreams for guidance. I ran it straight through to check both efficacy and any build-up over time.

The biggest practical lesson is how you take it. As a tea it is brutally bitter. I drink raw-hop tea for fun and still struggled to choke down a cup on night one. After that I powdered the leaves and blended 1.5 grams into water, drunk quickly one to two hours before sleep.

Across the run, dreams were noticeably more vivid, though recall itself was not better than baseline. Sleep quality improved, which seems to be a general theme with these compounds. The standout was night 19: an unprompted lucid dream with no journaling or technique behind it. After nearly three weeks of daily dosing, that reads more like a build-up effect than a single-night response.

The follow-ups worth running are a higher dose and a different delivery method, since how you consume it seems to drive a lot of the result.

Not medical advice. Nightcone documents self-experimentation for research interest only. Nothing here is a recommendation to ingest any substance.
