This is the first peptide to enter the matrix, and it is the entry I trust the least. Not because the numbers are bad. Almost nothing about this compound is settled, starting with what it is.
Pinealon is a synthetic chain of three amino acids, glutamate, aspartate, and arginine, from the Khavinson school in St. Petersburg, which sells short peptides as “bioregulators” that are proposed to regulate gene expression in specific tissues. The “pineal” in the name is branding. It is not a pineal extract, and it is not Epitalon, the peptide that actually carries melatonin literature. Nearly all the research comes from the group that invented it, and none of it is about dreams. This was a test with no prior.
A friend introduced me to it, and we have both been taking it, so this is two people rather than one.
The protocol was seven consecutive nights, 1 mg as an oral tablet, empty stomach, directly before bed. No journaling techniques, no wake-back-to-bed, no stacking. And the tablet is the first problem. A swallowed peptide should be digested before it reaches anything, the label does not confirm the three amino acids are even bonded, and no certificate of analysis was available. The realistic prior for this format is close to zero, and everything here is a product-level observation: this tablet, this dose, seven nights.
The numbers were not zero. Recall scored a 4 on six of seven nights against a long-run baseline of 3, and vividness moved with it. Coherence, emotional intensity, and hypnagogic imagery stayed flat. Lucidity never moved. Sleep felt slightly deeper. My friend reports the same thing, somewhat better sleep and a richer dreamscape, and both of us would call it subtle. That profile, recall and vividness up and nothing else, is the shape B6 produced, and it is also what paying closer attention for a week produces on its own. Bedtimes were erratic and no Oura data was captured, so there is no objective sleep architecture behind the ratings.
So either nothing survives the gut and this is expectation, or 1 mg is the floor. The next run is 2 mg nightly at the same timing, to see whether the signal grows or disappears. Until then this sits in the matrix as the most experimental row on the page.
